OPTIGRÜN-SOLAR TOP is a specially developed system for retrofitting photovoltaic modules on extensively greened flat roofs. The system is particularly suitable for existing buildings with limited structural reserves. It can be used on both small and large roof areas and up to a maximum roof pitch of 5°. 

The system can be completely dismantled and removed for temporary use or later conversion of the building. The substructure is load-bearing and does not require penetration of the roof waterproofing.

OPTIGRÜN-SOLAR TOP has maintenance and care paths that run along the high and low points of the module rows. Only through these accessible aisles (high and low points) is professional maintenance and inspection of the green roof and the PV system possible at all. The safe accessibility of all maintenance points makes regular inspection, maintenance and care measures much easier. This not only reduces maintenance work, but also permanently lowers operating costs and ensures the long-term technical availability of the entire system.

Many development plans and funding guidelines for public programmes stipulate a minimum level of green roof coverage. This requirement remains fulfilled with the use of OPTIGRÜN-SOLAR TOP, as the green roof area is hardly reduced by the system. The avoidance of covering the vegetation ensures eligibility for subsidies and authorisation, even in the case of subsequent PV installation.
